The DHBG requires every flight crewmember to carry a sidearm on all flights.  This includes gunners and observers. Our sidearm policy was in effect prior to the tragedies of 11 September 2001, however due to the inept handling of air safety after 9.11 by the Bush Administration and its three stooges of aviation, Mineta, Ridge, and Garvey, we decided to post our sidearm policy.

For years we have also advocated a monthly requal on the range for all personnel. In addition the squadron highly recommends that each member qualify for, and obtain, a concealed weapons permit for their state of residence. Rules vary from state to state, so check with the NRA.
